OUR STORY

Built on a love for stone and old-fashioned craftsmanship

Established in 2021, Susquetango Stone Works is rooted in a simple belief: good stonework starts with good stone and is built to last. Cody works with hand-picked natural stone from the mountains of Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna River–Mahantango Creek Valley, choosing each piece for its individual shape, character, and beauty.

No two stones are exactly alike, and we believe that’s part of what makes the finished work special. From retaining walls and patios to walkways, foundations, fire pits, parging, repointing, and custom stone features, every project is built by hand with the goal of creating something that belongs naturally with the property—and can be cherished for generations.

Want to know more about our stone, our work, or what we can build? Here are a few of the questions we hear most often.

We work with hand-picked natural stone from the mountains of Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna River–Mahantango Creek Valley. Every stone has its own shape, color, and character, which means no two finished projects are exactly alike.

We build retaining walls, patios, walkways, stone ponds and waterfalls, fire pits and fire rings, wishing wells, parging, repointing and other custom stone features. We also work on house and barn foundations and other stone repair projects.

Yes. In addition to new construction, we repair and restore existing stonework, including foundations, walls, walkways and other masonry that has shifted, deteriorated, or needs some attention.

We still believe in doing stonework the old-fashioned way. Stone is selected, shaped, fitted, and laid by hand, allowing the natural character of each piece to become part of the finished project.
